An anticyclone aloft will bring generally fine and persistently very hot weather to Guangdong today and tomorrow. With the anticyclone weakening and under the influence of upper-air disturbances, there will be showers and thunderstorms over southern China in the latter part of this week. The anticyclone aloft is expected to strengthen again early next week, showers will ease off over Guangdong. Besides, Tropical Cyclone Mekkhala will move in the general direction of the vicinity of the Ryukyu Islands in the next couple of days.
