Tropical Cyclone Noul will move across the northeastern part of the South China Sea and intensify gradually, edging closer to the coast of eastern Guangdong in the next couple of days. However, there are still uncertainties in its landfall position and its distance from Hong Kong. It is expected to be windy with heavy squally showers and thunderstorms over the coast of Guangdong later on Saturday to Sunday. There will be rough seas and swells. There will still be showers over the region early next week. Under the influence of a broad trough of low pressure, the weather will be unsettled over the northern part of the South China Sea and the coast of Guangdong midweek next week.
