In this post, we are going to introduce to you a very special supermarket in Shenzhen China. Unlike an ordinary supermarket in Shenzhen, it is a supermarket which mainly sells products from Russia.
Introduction
Most of the supermarkets in Shenzhen are relative big supermarkets which sell daily life products such as Walmart, Aeon, Freshippo and even bigger one such as Sam’s club and Costco etc. And most of their products are ordinary supermarket items which you are expected. However we have discovered a very special Russian supermarket in Shenzhen China which located in Hongshan 6979 shopping complex and Maxland Shopping Mall which are specialized in Russian products. What’s like?
The entrance of stores are already very Russian style, there are Matryoshka dolls outside with the height of a human, one is mainly red color and the other one is mainly blue color. You could already take selfies there. Once you enter the store, you could see the Russian decoration, specially there is a round shape glass on the ceiling painted with the St. Basil’s Cathedral.
There is the Russian chocolate section with many different types of Russian chocolate, the section of the Russian chocolate is very big. You could find different brands and taste of chocolate there such cherry, orange, pear, strawberry etc. You might expected the price of the chocolates are expensive because they are imported from another country, but surprisingly the price of the chocolate are very reasonable, the cheapest we saw was only 5RMB for a standard size pack of chocolate. The packaging of them are also very interesting with Russian design such as Matryoshka dolls, man with big mustache and beard. We have tried the cherry taste chocolate and it is really good.
There are other sections such as the wine section which contains many different wine from Russia. There are red wine, vodka and others. The container of the wines are very interesting as well.
There is another section we really love is the ice cream section which has different types of ice cream from Russia. Many of them contains fruit meat inside. We have tried a blue berry one and we love it.
Other things we saw are a large selection of sausage, cheese and dairy products, juice, candy, tin food, honey etc. They even have an entire section for salt.
Location and Transportation
The stores are very easy to reach, you could take the Shenzhen metro line 4 to station “Hongshan”, and enter the Hongshan 6979 shopping complex, where the supermarket is located at the 1/F.
