In this post we would like to share our recent experience on visiting the IKEA in Shenzhen China. The place is huge with many choices of furniture and we love the food in the restaurant.
It is really a surprise seeing so many international brand companies in Shenzhen China, especially shopping malls, supermarkets and retail stores because we are the travelers who love to shop. Recently we have discovered that there is an IKEA in Shenzhen so that we decided to pay for a visit.
How to get there?
To get there is really simple because the store is within the city not outside of the city in the rural area, you are able to reach the place by bus or by metro. There is a bus stop right underneath of it at the parking lot of the IKEA. However if you go by metro, the metro stations are a bit far way from it, it is recommended to take a taxi or hire an online car from the metro station. There are 3 metro stations which have almost the same distance from the IKEA which are the line 7: Zhuguang station and Longjing station, line 1: Baishizhou station.
The Shenzhen IKEA restaurant
Once we have arrived at the IKEA, the first thing we would like to see is the restaurant. Based on our experience from the IKEA in Hong Kong where it has very tasty and special cuisine, we love to eat at the IKEA restaurant. Surprisingly the restaurant is huge and it is not difficult to find a seat. They have various of food to choose from, such as the meat balls, cakes, fresh salmon, beef steak, salad, other special food which we discovered are the salmon pie, lamb skewer. However most of the food have 2 prices, one price is for member and is cheaper, to become a member is free of charge. Like the IKEA in Hong Kong, the soft drinks are free to refill after you purchase a glass of soft drink. We were able to find a good place and enjoy a wonderful meal there.
The Furniture and Household Goods
The place is very spacious, the paths within the furniture and household goods section is pretty wide and therefore it is very comfortable to walk and browse around. The special thing of the Shenzhen IKEA is that it has many different show rooms with different style of furniture arranged like a real room, so that you could have a basic idea on what they will look like in your room.
There are many different kind of furniture, and each type of furniture has many variance to choose.
Maybe the houses in Shenzhen are big, you could find very big size sofa there.
Rather than furniture, it also sells materials for the house and house electric appliances
Also they have household goods for sale.
The place is so big and there is a self serve furniture place looks like a warehouse!!
After your shopping at the furniture and household goods section, don’t forget to check out the supermarket and the snack bar at the exit where you could find many Swedish food and items.
